On Monday, we enjoyed five different soups, as is our pajama May Day custom now…  We unveiled three new sculptures, purchases made and displayed to encourage our own artists to examine new media possibilities, along with the idea of sustained attention to layers and embellishments.  One clay sculpture comically sits on the entry table.  One repurposed “bee” sculpture celebrates the addition of the bees to our community grounds.  The tall, stacking ceramic piece was assembled as we sat with buddies and shared a wish or a fond memory of the school for each element added to the center pole… taking a moment for reflection and appreciation.
