Visiting Artists

Ellen Fischer, children’s book author and grandmother to Ezra, Caleb, and Jonah, visited Ren School.  She read her book, “If an Armadillo Went to a Restaurant,” and met with groups of children to discuss the writing process and what it was like to work with an illustrator. She also talked about the editing process and amazed at least one child when she told him it took almost two years to get everything just right with the publisher. Seems revision is a real-world skill!
