On this special day, we were treated to music played by our new friend, Annemarie, a musician and glass-artist friend of Scott (Aquila Glass School). Annemarie played the acoustic and electric violins, including emotionally deep renditions of gypsy tunes she acquired in Europe. Annemarie then played “Twinkle, Twinkle” and the children accompanied her on their Irish tin whistles. From there, we moved to the Great Hall and enjoyed a performance and lesson in Morris dancing, a traditional and energetic form of dancing from England. We are looking forward to creating our own Morris team for a May Day performance this spring.
